OSSLMS is a customizable online platform which can be to be used for:
online learning and teaching
the production and management of digital learning contents
cooperative working (i.e. in virtual teams)
A OSSLMS Platform consists of 3 layers. The first layer is the external website, used for the presentation of your institution or project.
The second layer of the platform is the so called “entrance room” (for larger portals) or “personal desk” (for smaller institutions). It guides the user through the platform and offers news and tools for time management.

The third layer of the platform consists of a user-defined number of rooms for courses or projects. What makes OSSLMS so special is its adaptability:

Using the preset standard room “small and easy” you can provide digital learning materials, a mailing list and a blackboard.
Online courses / advanced users:
Our “advanced room” offers you the complete toolbox. You merely have to switch off the tools you don't need. Thus you can implement individual ways of teaching for every virtual room.
Virtual office:
OSSLMS enables you to share documents using our file manager, keep track of your customers with the address-book and take and share notes. You can easily set up a service room for every customer project to keep each team and/or the customer well informed about the project status.

Platforms for research and development projects
The external website of your project can be maintained with our built in web-CMS. The project teams can use the room to make appointments and share files and information.
Portals for Communuties of experts
Experts present themselves and their field of expertise. Suppliers showcase their products and services. A virtual library offers the technical literature and a reference book gives information on interesting products, projects and people as well as on important standards and guidelines. We offer several plug-ins for the portal functionality (e.g. ad banners)
